About Rahugan Festival

Rahugan festival praises the most humble of character qualities among Basudenos: the adoration for family, feeling of having a place, tranquil and agreeable life, and network soul. This week-long celebration, hence, grasps the network in a strong indication of solidarity among its kin. Feature exercises include: road moving, wall painting challenge, laro ng lahi, agro-tourism expo, excellence look, among others. It is held yearly every October 18-24. It is one of the famous festival. Tourists come here from all over the world with their family and friends to enjoy this festival.

The soul of valor, freedom, network administration, participation, and having a place are innate with each Basudeno as they continue displaying these attributes through yearly Rahugan Festival. It is held each October 17-24 of the year in Basud, Camarines Norte to praise its yearly devour of St. Raphael de Archangel. Rahugan originates from "rahug" which implies a gathering of coconut and means quality when joined together. During the celebration, Basudenos show their solidarity by taking part in the occasions, for example, Street moving rivalry, Gabi ng mga Lola at Lola, Gabi ng mga Lingkod Bayan, Gabi ng Edukasyon, Laro ng Lahi, Mutya ng Rahugan/Ms. Basud show, Agro-Tourism Fair and Fluvial Procession in Basud River.
