About Lim Festival

Lim Festival starts every year around the 12th or 13th day of the main lunar month. The celebration happens in a wide zone of Noi Due Commune, Lien Bao Commune, and Lim Town, every one of the three are situated in Tien Du District of Bac Ninh Province. It is otherwise called the celebration of 'Quan Ho', which is perceived as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2009. 
 
The primary day of the celebration is thirteenth day of Lunar New Year. As per the story told by a nearby inhabitant, Nguyen Dinh Dien, who lived in eighteenth century, was conceived in Noi Due Village and made numerous awesome benefits for the place where he grew up. He was additionally the individual who established Lim Festival, which was initially Commune Festival held yearly in the eighth lunar month. In this manner, incense-offering ceremony offers thanks and regard of local people to him, and is additionally an event to recall the source of Lim Festival as well.
