About Kolhua Mela

The Kolhua Mela in Hunterganj is an extremely ancient fair of Jharkhand. This Mela takes place on the highest point of the Kolhua Hill. There is an old sanctuary of Goddess Kali over the slope. The origin of the sanctuary isn't known yet by the historians. The sanctuary is also called the sanctuary of the 'Kuleshwari Devi'. There is also a water tank on the best.

The Kolhua Mela is a religious fair in Jharkhand. On this day ious pioneers and aficionados flock to the highest point of the slope to revere the Goddess. To go to the Kolhua Mela in Jharkhand, one needs to trek to the highest point of the slope. It's anything but a simple trek as the streets are steep and there are no rest houses. Yet, the place is serene and wonderful and one is destined to forget of the fatigue once he/she achieves the highest point of the Kolhua Hill and glances around.
