About Heart of the Glens Festival

Heart of the Glens Festival is website hosting its twenty eighth annual pageant in August. The Heart of the Glens Festival is primarily based in Cushendall within the lovely Glens of Antrim, on the famous Causeway Coastal route on the Antrim Coast.

 

The pageant runs from three – eleven August and offers a a laugh packed programme of over one hundred events at some stage in the 9 day period. The large kind of activities consist of the Community Opening Parade showcasing our network spirit with over 20 of our community groups together with nearby corporations taking element. There are also approx. Ninety lorries be part of the parade and of route we also have our kids in fancy dress and free entertainment on the cease of the parade. Our main occasions include the famous Lurig Challenge Run which is confined to 400 members, Food Fest night, Adult Treasure Hunt, the ever popular ‘Theme’ fancy dress night time, the Vintage Family Fun Day is likewise an old time favored. The ‘Dalriada Sounds’ concert has grown from strength to energy and showcases the talent each of the locals and invited visitors from other regions with dancing, track, singing and poetry.
