For those who are devotee of Lord Shiva, a visit to the Shankar Achariya Temple is a must. It is stragically located on top of a hill. Get the spiritual vibes from 2500 year old temple and simultaneously muse your eyes with the beautiful whole Dal lake view. On the way you could also visit the famous Parimahal known primarily for being the musical court of Mughal King Shah Jahan. If you are in Nigeen and have not seen the Hazratbal Mosque then you have missed a major site of attraction both spiritually and by virtue of nature. This mosque is famous for its picturesque view and holding the distinction of the presence of Holy relic believed to be the strands of hair of Prophet Muhammad’s beard.
