Day 2 : Paro
Thimphu Sightseeing Tashichhoedzong The seat of the government since and presently houses the throne room and offices of the king, the secretariat and the ministries of home affairs and finance Folk Heritage Museum and provides with fascinating insights into the Bhutanese material culture and way of life. The Folk Heritage Museum is set inside a three storied, 19th century traditional house.
Day 3 : Punakha
Thimphu Punakha via Dochu La After breakfast, proceed towards Punakha, located at an elevation of above sea level and by the two main rivers of Bhutan, the Pho Chu and Mo Chu A mountain pass, offers a stunning panoramic view of Eastern Himalayan mountain ranges comes on the way to Punakha. The view is especially scenic on clear, winter days with snowcapped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the Chortens gracing the mountain pass.
Day 4 : Paro
Punakha After breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed to Paro. The Paro valley extends from the confluence of the Paro Chhu and the Wang Chhu rivers at Chuzom upto Mt. Jomolhari at the Tibetan border to the North. This picturesque region is one of the widest valleys in the kingdom and is covered in fertile rice fields and has a beautiful, crystalline river meandering down the valley.After checking into your hotel, you would proceed for a sightseeing tour of Paro which would include the following places
Day 5 : Paro
After breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Chele La pass highest motorable point in Bhutan.On a clear day one can get a breathtaking view of Mt.Jhomolhari (23,996 ft the second highest peak of Bhutan) and other Himalayan giants. Visit Paro handicraft market during evening time. a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour will be optional since it requires trekking to reach the Monastery. Ponies are available for hire.
