Archaeological Museum

Split has a long custom of gathering and tending to landmarks. This intrigue showed up as ahead of schedule as the Renaissance. At the start of the XVIth century, a gathering of Antique stone memorials was put away in the home of the Split aristocrat Dmino Papalic the present City Museum and they were depicted in one of his friend's, Marko Marulic's, tracts. The Archbishop's Museum was established by mid-XVIIIth century, and in 1820 the Archeological Museum, the most seasoned Croatian Museum.
