Salento

Salento is a town and municipality in the north-east of the branch of Quindio, Colombia. It was the principal settlement in Quindio of the cutting edge period, and the primary region established in the division. The town is one of the real vacation destinations of Colombia, on account of its serene nature, great view, simple access to the Cocora valley, and the maintenance of quite a bit of its unique bahareque design run of the mill of the eje cafetero district. This style of engineering is particularly eminent on Carrera 6, a.k.a. Calle Real, the street that leads north-east from the town square to a mirador, the Alto de la Cruz.

The street is the real lane of Salento and contains numerous shops, fundamentally offering privately made handcrafts. Salento is the starting point for journeys into the Cocora valley and climbing in the Los Nevados National Natural Park: jeep taxis depart from the town square and travel 11 km up the valley to the settlement of "Cocora", from where the valley might be investigated by walking or on horseback by means of ious trails. The town's celebration happens every year in the main seven day stretch of January, to match with the festivals of the commemoration of the town's establishment on 5 January.
