A coach Vistadome will be attached to the train Jan Shatabdi Express which is running between Dadar and Madgaon.

Among the best features of this coach are the large windowpanes and a button-powered crystal clear roof which offers stunning views of the Western Ghats to the passengers. Actually, windows are not the only thing that makes the coach interesting. Other than this, all the 40 seats in this coach have the ability to rotate 360 degrees and have pushback capability as well. Leaving this aside, the other new and attractive feature in this coach includes the presence of 12 LCD television screens which are set up for the entertainment of people. Even this train has a mini fridge, automatic sliding compartment doors, an oven, juicer grinder and toilets fitted with ceramic tiles.

Designing this train was not an easy task as it included a lot of effort and money. This train which is specially designed for traveling between Mumbai and Goa is the first-of-its-kind glass-top coach in the Indian Railways which has been developed at a cost of INR 3.38 crores. The former Railway Minister, Suresh Prabhu launched this train. While launching the coach which was done a few months back he said that this train is introduced to promote tourism.  According to him, the tourism industry is lacking behind in some aspects and so certain developments are required to give it a boom.

 The bookings for this coach are already open for the public and each seat in this coach costs INR 2,235 in which GST will be added. Other than this the reservation charges and other miscellaneous charges, if present will also be included later on while booking.

These types of trains require great maintenance as India is not a dust-free country. So this beautiful train which is giving enthralling experience to the people should be kept clean by the public who travel and even by the staff.
