Indravati National Park is one of the most famous wildlife parks in Chhattisgarh. One of the few tiger reserves in the state, the park derives its name from the nearby Indravati River.
The park is home to what is believed to be the last remaining population of rare wild buffalo. It houses a wide iety of flora and fauna. It is a frequent attraction for tourists and wildlife enthusiasts. Besides the rare and endangered Wild Asian Buffalo, one can find other wild animals such as the Nilgai, Black Buck, Sambar, Gaur, Tiger, Leopard, Chital and Sloth bears.
