Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri was constructed by Emperor Akbar and this place is 39 km away from Agra. The architecture of Fatehpur Sikri contains the blend of Islamic and Hindu styles. Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Diwan – I – Aam, Sheikh Salim Chishti tomb and Birbal Bhavan are some of the must visit buildings in Fatehpur Sikri. Various places are situated here to visit in Fatehpur Sikri such as Ram Bagh, tourists attracts towards Ram Bagh because it is a Garden which is designed beautifully and shows the love of Mughals for the Nature. Chini Ka Rauza is the other place which is best known for Indo – Persian architecture. Buland Darwaza is the main attraction in Fatehpur Sikri which contains the beautiful Mughal – Persian architectural designs. Buland Darwaza is constructed with red and beige sandstone. Buland Darwaza:

Buland Darwaza is also known as “Gate of Magnificence”. This was built by Akbar in 1602 AD.  Buland darwaza is the main attraction of Fatehpur Sikri and also considered to be the highest gateway in the world. This gateway is the beautiful masterpiece and shows the Akbar’s religious broad mindness.

Panch Mahal:

This is a five storey palace and was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar for relaxation purpose. This place is built in that manner that it gives respite from the intense summer. The ground floor of this mahal includes 84 pillars that support the entire building. This Mahal is much beautiful and has a unique architecture.

Jodhabai Palace:

Jodhabai Palace is a very large building and includes all facilities, provisions and safeguards. This palace is decorated by ious precious things such as Hams swan, parrot, elephants, lotus, srivatsa Mark and ghant mala etc. Jodhabai Palace is also one of the most noticeable places in Fatehpur Sikri.

Lotus Throne:

The Lotus Throne Pillar is well known for its massiveness and magnificence and it is a single red stone pillar. The architecture of this pillar is very good. It is totally carved out from the stone. People must visit this place.

Khwabgah:

This place contains most beautiful structure in Fatehpur Sikri. Akbar used this Palace for his personal use and meetings. Architecture of Khwabgah, nicely crafted. Beautiful murals depicting geometrical and floral patterns and paintings are present here.

Fatehpur Sikri is expert in food items. This place is well known for its delicious and mouth watering food.
