Old since 1895, the International Art Exhibition is very excited to feature some really out of the ordinary international performers. It brilliantly attracts thousands of art lovers with other tourists towards dramatic Venice city, where works chosen by rigorous selection are presented.
The gardens of Giardini di Castello and the Arsenale will be the host to this colossal event that takes place after every two years. The gardens are marked with grand pavilions that homes Italy's excellent collection produced in the past two years. The edition of 2011 is curated by Bice Curiger, and takes a closer look at the correlation between present worlds art, artistes and the common man.
Your Venice Biennale has already started spreading its tentacles throughout this most colorful of cities, and will require two or three days from your end to experience every bit of it. However, you can also see everything from your eyes either by skimming through the environs of the cavernous Renaissance dockyard, Arsenale or hiring a water-taxi to the crumbling Palazzo Papadopoli, which houses wide range of the smaller nations' shows.
