Sree Randumoorthy Temple at Thiruvalathur is one of the 108 temples based via Lord Parasurama. Dedicated to two types of Mother Goddess - Mahishasuramardhini and Annapurnneswari, the temple celebrates its annual ten-day festival which ends at the Karthika asterism in the Malayalam month of Vrischikam. The most important enchantment of the festival is the lighting of Chuttuvilakku surrounding the temple.

 

Situated on the banks of Sokanasini River at Thiruvalathur in Palakkad, the temple’s Koothambalam and a huge Mizhavu a percussion device inside it are the important attractions inside the temple.
