Morning, tour of Kathmandu Durbar square referred to as an old city. Most of the temples which you visit here today are a mere three or four centuries old, the bequest of Malla kings. Visit Kumari Chowk home of Kathmandu’s living goddess who comes out to the balcony to greet the audience. Visit Kasthamandap, which is one of the oldest wooden buildings in the world. This site has been declared as one of the UNESCO world heritage sites. Continue on to the Buddhist temple of Swoyambhunath also referred as “Monkey temple”. Situated on the top of the hill west of Kathmandu, this is one of the popular and instantly recognizable symbols of Nepal. From its hilltop settings offers a bird's eye view of Kathmandu valley. It is particularly striking in the early evening when city lights start illumination.

Morning, visit the holiest Hindu shrine Pahupatinath temple. This temple is one of the greatest Shiva sites of the Indian subcontinent. As in most Hindu temples in Nepal, the admission inside the temple premises is strictly for Hindus only. For non-Hindus there is more to be seen by heading to the river bank, where you can look down into the temple from a terrace hill in opposite side. En route to the riverbanks you will pass the Panch Deval (Five Temples), a former five shrine complex that now acts as a social welfare center for heartbreaking collection of destitute local elderly. Watch the cremation going along the sacred Bagmati river. The Bagmati’s sanctity makes Pashupatinath Nepal’s most sacred Hindu cremation site.
