Gulmarg is a town, a hill station, a popular skiing destination and a notified area committee in the Baramula district of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The town is situated in the Pirpanjal range in the western Himalayas. The resort was named Gulmarg “meadow of flowers” by Sultan Yusuf Shah of the Chak Dynasty who frequented the place with his queen Habba khatoon in the 16th century. Wild flowers of 21 different ieties were collected by the Mughal emperor Jahangir for his gardens in Gulmarg. In the 19th century, British civil servants started using Gulmarg as a retreat to escape summers in North Indian plains.

Today after breakfast, check out from Pahalgam hotel and transfer you to Jetty at Dal lake. Upon arrival at the Jetty, transfer to your houseboat and check in. Evening have a shikara ride in Dal Lake. Dinner and overnight stay in houseboat.

Today after breakfast start for an excursion to Shankaracharya Hill Temple, Grand Mughal Gardens Chashme Shahi, Nishat Bagh & Shalimar Bagh and Pari Mahal. Evening return back to Hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Srinagar.

After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Sonamarg Surrounded by snow-covered mountain peaks and dense pine and deodar forests, 87kms from Srinagar, 3 hours journey, 2800mts above sea level.
