You will be greeted at the airport by one of our staff members after which you will be transferred to the hotel. We spend the entire day exploring the commercial capital of Kerala where we visit some very interesting sites like the Jewish Synagogue, the Dutch Palace and the Chinese fishing nets. We retire for an overnight stay in the hotel.
After witnessing the magnificent city of Kochi, we head to the enchanting land of Munnar, where heaven and earth magically appear to meet. Carpeted with greenery, the hills of Munnar are truly breath taking.For the whole day you are free to explore the beauty of these valleys and do some local shopping. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Today we set out early on the sightseeing tour of the scenic hill station of Munnar. We head to the top peak of the hill, Raja Malai, the Muttupetty dam and the Echo point, and if we are lucky, see the mountain goats or the Neel Thar on our journey. The rest of the day is left free where you can explore these beautiful hills of Munnar before retiring to the hotel.
After visiting the beautiful valleys of Munnar, we head to the wild life sanctuary of Thekkady. Experience the sights and sounds of wilderness which is still preserved in this part of the state. Situated approximately at an altitude of 900- 1800mts, at Thekady we take an evening boat safari on the Periyar river and await to sight the treasures of the wilderness which include, elephants, lion -tailed macaques, tigers, gaur, langurs and much more. In the morning after breakfast, we check out hotel and proceed to Alleppey. Alleppey is located at 5hours drive from Munnar. En-route visit Ambalapuzha Srikrishna Temple. On arrival at Alleppey, check in hotel. Alleppey attracts a number of tourists to its backwater paradise. It is famous for its beaches, coir industry and marine products. After dinner, night spent in Alleppey.
By road, we travel to Kumarakom. On our way, we take a small stop at some spice plantations after which we head to our destination, the Vembanad Lake. This is a freshwater lake and is known for its houseboats. Kumarkom is also known for its boat races, held around the festive time of Onam. We shall rest at the hotel for the night.
After a refreshing breakfast served onboard, check out from the hotel and drive to Kovalam. Up on arrival, check in to a hotel. This beach town ranked high among international tourists is an ideal destination to feel the tropical sun and to feel contented about the golden suntan. Water enthusiasts have a lot of beach activities to indulge in like - kayaking, swimming, surfing and skiing. After witnessing the magnificent Land of Beach, we head to the enchanting land of Kanyakumari. Kanyakumari Beach has spectacular stretches of sands and the amazing sunrise and sunset views are the reasons enough to draw tourists. The famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial, which protrudes into the ocean, is one of the most visited attractions. Another famous monument is the Gandhi Memorial, built over the spot where the urn containing the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi was kept for public viewing before immersing them in the waters. The Kanyakumari Temple, located on the shore is dedicated to Goddess Parvati. Padamanabhapuram is 45 Km from the town and is known for its fort which encloses a beautiful palace and a temple. The Government Museum has a good collection of old coins, tribal artefacts, bronze sculptures and wooden carvings. Overnight stay at Kanyakumari.
