A few of them are a must see and spend more time seeing them e.g Krishna, Mahishasuramardini & Varaha . Pancha Rathas (Five Chariots) - five monolithic pyramidal structures named after the Pandavas (Arjuna, Bhima, Yudhishtra, Nakula and Sahadeva) and Draupadi. Despite their size each one is carved out of a single piece of stone - pink granite.and the shore Temple-This Shore temple, 2 hrs from Mahabalipuram , is so named as it overlooks the Bay of Bengal. This was built by the Pallavas in the 8th Century AD and has a Pyramidal structure of 60 ft height built on a 50ft square platform.Stay overnight at Mahabalipuram.
