Thingyan Water Festival

New Year that falls during the months of March or April. It is a five day festival which culminates on the day of New Year. Although the religious ceremonies start on the first day itself, the main celebration start on the second day only. The water festival too starts on the second day and in on till 4th day. People throw water at each other with whatever suitable equipment they find. The three days of water throwing is thoroughly enjoyed by one and all as this is the hottest months in Myanmar. Just for fun, some people also use chilled water as well
