Sierra de la Laguna Biosphere Reserve

Situated in the state of Baja, Sierra de la Laguna has been recognized as a global biosphere reserve by UNESCO. It is the huge bio diversity and the ecosystem in its area of 11,600 hectares that has helped the Sierra de la Laguna attain this status. There are nearly 974 species of higher plants found here; of which 23% are considered to be endemic. A large variety of bird and fauna species are also found here.
