Panafest is a cultural festival that is organized every two years for Africans and people of African descent. Africa's history and Africa's relationship with the rest of the world forms a unique feature of this cultural event.
Panafest is an event dedicated to the African dance, music and other performing arts. Also known as the 'Pan-African Historical Theatre Festival', Panfest is a cultural event that aims and endeavors towards the enhancement of the ideals of Pan-Africanism and the development of the African continent. It is a biennial festival and is observed every two years to celebrate the people of African descent as well as all persons committed to the well being of Africans on continent and in the global arena.
In the proceedings of Panafest, various conferences on African arts, history & international relationships, acts on theater, drama, music, poetry and other verticals are organized. These events not only keeps the visitors engaged but also serves the academic purpose of educating the world about the African bequests. Among other things, one of the best events is a candlelit Emancipation Vigil to honor African slaves.
