Salzburg Festival

The Salzburg Festival, the best known music and drama festival in Austria, is Europe's most prestigious. It is a five week non stop festival featuring more than 180 classic and contemporary performances, including operas,recitals, concerts of orchestral, symphonies and dramas. The festival is hosted in the city of Salzburg, the birth place of the legendary Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and also a famous World Heritage Site. One of the major events of the festival is the performance on the Cathedral Square of the mystery play 'Jedermann' against the breathtaking background of Salzburg Cathedral. You can also be part of the annual Salzburg Easter Festival held around Easter each year.
