About Revere
Established as North Chelsea in 1846, it was renamed in 1871 after the American Revolutionary War loyalist Paul Revere. In 1915, it was joined as a city. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city has a populace of 51,755 occupants.
Revere's first occupants were Native Americans who had a place with the Pawtucket clan and were known as the Rumney Marsh Indians.Nanepashemet resigned to the Mystic River, in what is currently Medford, yet was discovered killed in 1619 at his post on the forehead of Rock Hill ignoring the waterway. Three children succeeded him in his rule.
The Native Americans, with their personal learning of the tremendous, yet unexplored wild, regularly helped the pioneers in their battle to survive.
