About Lake St Clair

Lake St Clair is at the southern apocalypse well known Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park and is a piece of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. The Aboriginal individuals of the territory called the lake Leeawuleena, which means dozing water.
Cut out by ice amid a few glaciations throughout the last two million years, this is the most profound freshwater lake in Australia 167 meters/547 feet and the headwaters of the Derwent River.
The region around Lake St Clair offers an abundance of strolls, extending from comfortable 45 minutes walks around overnight bushwalks, and in addition lovely timberlands to investigate. Take a stab at angling, sculling or the ship benefit venturing to every part of the 18 kilometer length of the lake, and meet bushwalkers finishing the Overland Track.
