Sysert

Sysert is a town and the regulatory focal point of Sysertsky District of Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, situated on the Sysert River Ob bowl, right tributary of the Iset, 50 kilometers south of Yekaterinburg. It was established in either 1732 or in 1773 and was called Sysertsky Zavod until 1932. Town status was allowed to it in 1946. Inside the system of authoritative divisions, Sysert fills in as the managerial focal point of Sysertsky District and is subordinated to it.

As a city division, the town of Sysert together with 37 rustic territories in Sysertsky District is consolidated as Sysertsky Urban Okrug. Sysertsky District is a managerial area raion, one of the thirty in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia. Its authoritative focus is the town of Sysert. The locale's populace was 77,691 as of the 2010 census, down from 78,085 2002 Census; and 78,229 1989 Census. The number of inhabitants in Sysert represents 59.0% of the region's aggregate populace.
