Kendhikulhudhoo is one of the inhabited islands of Noonu Atoll within the northern province of Maldives. The island is a few of the 10th largest islands in the Maldives archipelago. According to the census 2014, Kendhikulhudhoo is home to 1767 people making the island most populous within the atoll after Velidhoo, Holhudhoo, and Manadhoo. The most critical day in the records of Kendhikulhudhoo turned into the day human beings of Tholhendhoo migrated to the island.
Severe island erosion led the human beings of Tholhendhoo to migrate to Kendhikulhudhoo on 1 January 1993. The island has 16 shops and 6 eating places. Most of the shops are devoted to retail grocery and every day use items whilst there are 3 stores which sell garment and cosmetic gadgets and 2 dedicated to promoting construction materials as properly. Major gadgets required for production like cement, wood and plastic pipe and fittings may be sold from these shops.
Goods like furniture and different family items which aren't available on the island are offered from the Atoll capital Manadhoo and Capital Male'. Majority of the operating age population paintings in tourism enterprise specially the kids population. However, an same quantity of people also work in the fishing industry. Currently, there are 7 fishing vessels running on the island. Some have also found employment in the few authorities institutions inside the island even as others work in capital Male in public or personal workplaces.
