About Hareli Festival

The Hareli celebration is one of the famous celebrations of Chhattisgarh. The celebration is praised with extraordinary pageantry and show. The word 'Hareli' is gotten from the Hindi word 'Haryali' which means greenery. It is for the most part a celebration celebrated by the different groups of rancher in the long stretch of Shravan. Hareli celebration is commended on the Sravana Amavasya or the new moon day of month.

It denotes the opening of the consecrated month for Hindus, Shravan month. Hareli celebration is a celebration of product concentrating on the storm of a year. The Goddess 'Kutki Dai' is the authoritative divinity loved in this celebration for getting great yields. The festival of the Hareli celebration relates with the periods of July and August in the Gregorian date-book. The Hareli celebration in Chhattisgarh is praised on the new moon day of the month or the Sravana Amavasya.
