10 Days 9 Nights Leh to Manali Monument Trip Package

Arrive in Manali. Today you have the option of taking it easy in Manali. One can roam around the local market, visit a famous temple and check out other sightseeing spots in and around Manali. You can also decide to just laze around at the hotel and stay overnight in a guest house.

Start your day by driving on the famous Manali to Leh highway and reach Jispa. On your way cross the famous Rohtang Pass 3980m, with excellent views of the Pir Panjal range. You will stop here for some photography in some of the most senic locations near a pass. This pass is open only during a few summer months every year. From here you descend to the Chandra River and drive to the quaint village of Jispa. Stay overnight in a guesthouse.

Today you will drive to Leh via Sarchu and Pang by crossing over Baralacha La which is a double pass linking both the upper Chandra and Bhaga valleys with the Lingti valley and the vast Lingti plains around Sarchu. Sarchu is inhabited by Himalayan clan, Gaddi, and few lonely soldiers at an army outpost. Like the previous stretch you will drive through some breathtaking scenery on your way to Leh. Cross the two high – passes, Lachlung La 5065m and Tanglang La 5360m, the third highest motorable pass in the world. Late in the afternoon you will enter the Indus valley passing the beautiful village of Rumtse and arrive at Leh, capital of Ladakh. Check into the guest house for a overnight stay.

Start your day by exploring the Indus valley and take a drive to Shey, Thiksey and Hemis gompa monastery accompanied by a local guide. Learn the history and practices of these gompas and return to the hotel for lunch. Rest of the day explore the local market and do some shopping. Overnight stay in a guest house.

Today you will set out on a 2 day overland exploration trip to the Nubra Valley. You will drive from Leh to the Khardung La pass 5602m, the second highest motorable pass in the world. On a clear day views of Indus valley below are phenomenal covered by greenery, willow and poplar trees. This valley has the distinction of being one of the trade centers on the ancient Silk Route. Stop at the village of Diskit and visit the local monastery and also marvel the sand dunes just like in a desert, along the road. You will check into a fixed camp or a guesthouse for a overnight stay.

After breakfast you will get the unique opportunity to ride on a double humped Bactrian camel in the sand dunes of this high altitude desert. Then drive to the village at Panamik, famous for its hot springs from here you turn around and visit the Samstanling gompa at Sumoor. You spend some time here and then drive back to Leh. Overnight in a guest house.

They say Ladakh trip is not complete till you visit one of the most beautiful high altitude lake here – Pangong Tso. Take a 6 hr drive to the mesmerizing high altitude lake of Pangong Tso by starting early. Drive along the Indus river by crossing the Chemrey gompa, and multiple hairpin bends before reaching the fourth highest motorable pass in the world, Chang La 5320m. From here descend to the lake. Nothing prepares you for the first sight of the Pangong Tso lake. Marvel the crystal clear turquoise blue water and stark mountain ranges all around it’s truly a captivating sight. Then stay in a beautiful deluxe campsite.

After breakfast, you will start driving back to Leh and overnight stay in a hotel

Take 6-7 hr drive to Kargil and witness the excellent confluence of Zanskar and Indus. Overnight stay in a guest house

Drive through Zozilz paas, Sonamarg to reach Srinagar in a 6-7 hr journey. The trip ends once you reach Srinagar.
