Pickup from Dibrugarh airport and drive to Roing. We drive over the Dhola – Sadiya bridge (also referred to as the Bhupen Hazarika Setu) the longest bridge in India , spanning a distance of 9 kilometers. On the way we enjoy a glorious sunset over the Lohit river . O/n at Mishmi Hill Camp

Roing is the gateway to Dibang valley, drained by the Dibang river – one of the major tributaries of the Brahmaputra . This area is also referred to as the Mishmi Hills, since it is inhabited by the Mishmi tribe. The area is a biodiversity hotspot 6000 plant species, 100 mammal species and about 700 bird species. After breakfast, we will set off to explore quaint Idu-Mishmi villages around Roing. The Idus are one of the three Mishmi tribes, the others being Miju and Digaru, which inhabit various parts of the Mishmi Hills, which extend across the Chinese border. We will visit the Idu Mishmi villages of Kebali and Korunu. O/n at Mishmi Hill Camp

We will set off early morning to visit Mayodia pass, which connects the upper and lower Dibang valleys. . This day visit will be staggered with small stops along the way on scattered orange farms, and small walks along the hill road, to experience the hill ecology. O/n at Mishmi Hill Camp

In the morning we drive to Tezu, where we will visit villages of the Digaru Mishmi tribe. From here we continue driving to Wakro, via Parsuram Kund. As per mythology the Hindus believe that this is the place on the Lohit river, where lord Parsuram came to wash off the grave sin of killing his mother. Enjoy some grand vistas of the Lohit after which we continue to our homestay. O/n at a homestay

Today we set out for an overnight hike to a stunning lake, nestled in the midst of thick rainforests. After breakfast we drive for 12 kilometers to the entry point of Kamling Wildlife sanctuary, which adjoins the Namdapha National park. For the first one hour it is a level walk , occasionally skirting the Kamlang river. On crossing the hanging bridge over the Kamlang the route starts climbing up, initially through bamboo forests and later through thick evergreen forests. We will hear many birds as well as the hooting of the Hoolock Gibbons during our stiff five hour climb to the lake. Though all your fatigue will completely vanish on reaching the stunning Glow lake. O/n in forest lodge

In the morning take a dip in the lake and explore nearby areas. By late morning we start our descent down to Wakro. O/n at a homestay in Wakro

In the first half we will have a great opportunity to witness the festivities of Tamladu festival. This is the most important festival of the Digaru Mishmis, giving us a deep peak into their culture. By afternoon we leave for Dibrugarh. On the way we will visit the Golden Pagoda Temple at Tengapani. It is one of the most opulent monastery of the Tai Phake , a Buddhist tribe who proscribe to the Theruvada school of thought. By evening reach Dibrugarh and relax. O/n at Dibrugarh Club House or similar

After breakfast drop to Dibrugarh airport
