After breakfast, Leave Leh for Mulbek. Enroute visiting Alchi monastery, Alchi Monastery (The village of Alchi is famous for existence of Alchi Gompa (monastery) one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh mainly known for its wall painting which date back more than thousand years) Later drive further to Lamayuru. Lamayuru is a petty little village surrounded by the rocky Hindukush peaks. Visit Lamayuru monastery and enjoy the beautiful landscape of moon land. Reach Mulbek in the evening. Night stay at Mulbek.
Morning after breakfast, visit 2nd century 9M high rock curved statue of Maitreya Buddha and then proceed further to Kargil, while leaving behind the Leh – Srinagar Highway, and continues drive to Rangdum along the Suru Valley. The journey is rough & tough as the road are bad but en-route you have unforgettable, enchanting and awesome view of landscape of Suru valley and its surrounding magnificent mountain peaks. you enjoy the view of highest mountain massif snow cover peaks in India Nun (7135m) and Kun (7077m) and you pass across several beautiful and charming villages (inhabitants are almost Muslim). Arrive at Rangdum in the evening. Night stay at Rangdum.
After breakfast visit Rangdum monastery, the monastery was founded by Gelek Yashey Takpa during the reign of King Tsewang Mangyul of Ladakh about 200 years ago. From the monastery, you have wonderful panoramic view of landscape and Randum village. After then continue drive by crossing Pentsila pass (4,400M). On the way, you pass across the as many as Shepherds of Zanskar with their domestic animals and famous glacier known as Drang – Drung Glacier. Reach Padum in the evening. Night Stay at Padum.
Day 05: A day sightseeing to Sani – Bardan – Zongkul
Morning after breakfast, drive to Sani, visit the most famous Sani monastery wherein you visit the sacred statues of Buddhas and Boddhisattavas. This monastery located and picturesquely built in the middle of field and houses. After the visit, proceed to Zongkul monastery and then continue drive to Bardan monastery. On the way you enjoy the view of beautiful and charming villages of Zangskar valley. After visiting the Bardan village and its monastery, drive back to Padum. Night stay at Padum.
Morning after breakfast, drive to Karsha and visit Karsha monastery. The Karsha monastery was founded by Great Lama Phagspa Shesrap (the translator of Zanskar). The monastery is built on hill top with imposing view of enchanting valley and tributary rivers (Tsarap and Doda river) From the monastery, take pleasure of awesome and spectacular view of the capital of zanskar (Padum) and its surrounding mountains. After the visit continue drive to Stongde village. Visit the beautiful monastery built on hill top, overlooking the valley, by Lama Marpa 950 years ago. Approximately 60 monks are residing in this monastery. After the visit, continue drive back to Padum. Night stay at Padum
