After breakfast check out and drive to Thiruvananthapuram, capital

western part of Kochi. This is the old Kochi. Fort Kochi was under the possession of the Portuguese, the Dutch and the British at different periods of time. The region still bears the cultural influence of Europe. Visit Jewish synagogue, Mattancherry palace, Indo Portuguese museum, Chinese fishing nets, Promenade with fresh sea breeze, Dutch cemetery, Jain temple, St. Francis church and Santa cruz basilica.
Drive to north east part of Cochin to visit Hill palace (the head quarter of
Maharaja of Cochin). Stroll on Ernakulam Marine drive. If you wish, there are a couple of hours to visit shopping area of modern Cochin. Late evening drive to Thrissur, the cultural capital of Kerala. Check in to Sopanam Ayurveda resort, at Nadavaramba, Irinjalakuda.
