About The Architectural Marvel Ajanta and Ellora Caves

The flawless architecture and the unique art carved on Ajanta and Ellora Caves, leaves every onlooker speechless, even till date. These two caves which were discovered by the British officer are now delegated as the world Heritage site by UNESCO. Constructed over the Sahyadri hills these two caves are the main attractions of Maharashtra that reflect teachings of Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism. The valuable thoughts are mostly described through sculptures and paintings that are carved out from the rock by hand itself. The sculptures mainly talks about the Buddhist culture that prevailed in 200 BC to 700 AD and clearly explains the existence of Buddhism in that period.
