Prague is a city in southeastern Lincoln County, Oklahoma, United States. The populace was 2,386 at the 2010 statistics, a 11.6 percent expansion from 2,138 at the 2000 census. Czech migrants established the city, and named it for the capital of the Czech Republic with a changed articulation of the name. Czech foreigners settled Prague, after the opening of the Sac and Fox Reservation by a land keep running on September 22, 1891.
Eva Barta possessed the land, and named the new town "Prague" for the Czech capital in Europe, at that point some portion of Austria-Hungary. The town consolidated in 1902. On March 27, 1943, the film Hangmen Also Die! had its reality debut in Prague in an occasion which included Adolf Hitler, Hirohito and Mussolini being hanged in representation on Main Street.
