About Elk City
The production of Elk City was a thought brought about via arrive promoters from Weatherford, Oklahoma, when they discovered that the Choctaw, Oklahoma and Gulf Railroad CO and G was going to the region in 1898, the CO and G Railroad finished its western course to Weatherford; starting in 1901, it kept building west. They framed the Choctaw Townsite and Development Company.
