About Grover
It is a town in Cleveland County, North Carolina. Grover is named a residential community where railroad and roadway courses Interstate 85 and U.S. Interstate 29 cross the state line between North Carolina and South Carolina. It was already named Whitaker and legitimately was in South Carolina.
The name change to Grover in 1885 was to pay tribute to President Grover Cleveland. Gingerbread Row, Cleveland Avenue - NC Highway 216 has an antique look with numerous re-established homes in wonderful hues. They worked from the 1880s to the 1920s and Southern Railway U.S. keeps on conveying travelers right up 'til the present time now known as Norfolk Southern.
