Comfort

Comfort is an evaluation assigned place CDP in Kendall County. Starting at July 1, 2017, the number of inhabitants in Comfort is 3,189. It is a piece of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area. Comfort is east of the bigger city of Kerrville. Comfort was set up in 1854 by German foreigners, who were Freethinkers and abolitionists. Ernst Hermann Altgelt, at the age of twenty-two, is credited with looking over and estimating the parts that would later be sold to the approaching German migrants. He stayed and wedded Emma Murck Altgelt, and they brought their nine youngsters up in the township of Comfort. Fritz and Betty Holekamp assembled the main house in Comfort having begun development before Comfort's legitimate establishing on September 3, 1854. The main holy places were not built up in Comfort until 1900. After some contention, a cenotaph respecting "the Founding Freethinkers" was committed on November 2, 2002.
