Popesti is a commune in Arges County, Muntenia, Romania, together with the villages Palanga, Popesti, Purcareni and Slobozia. At the stop of the 19th century, the commune was known as Popesti-Palanga, it become part of the Teleorman web page of Teleorman County and it consisted of the villages Popesti, Palanga and Purcaresti, with a total of 1318 inhabitants.
