About Massa
Famous among locals and visitors, Massa is a town in northwestern Tuscany, situated on the western slants of the Apuan Alps, around 5 km from the Ligurian Sea. Visitors come from all over the world and enjoy this city. The city is ignored by a slope over which stands the Malaspina stronghold, which rules the encompassing plain.
After the French Revolution, the mid nineteenth century was set apart by the Napoleonic administration of the Principality of Lucca drove by Elisa Baciocchi, which caused a noteworthy urban change of the downtown area, beginning from the decimation of the congregation of San Pietro.
