Lunavada

Lunavada is a town in the Mahisagar, previous Panchmahal District, in the Northern piece of Gujarat state of India. Lunawada is the managerial central command of the Mahisagar area. Lunawada was formally a Taluka, authoritative subdivision, in the Panchmahal area up to 15 August 2013. The name Lunawada is gotten from Luneshwar Mahadev, a sanctuary of Lord Shiva. Lunawada is encompassed by water, the sources being the Panam waterway, Vasant Sagar, Kishan Sagar, Kanka Talav, Veri, Mahi River and Darkoli Talav lake.

Lunawada is known for the sanctuary of Luneshwar Mahadev. This old sanctuary of Lord Shiva has a great deal of religious significance as it is said that the Pandavas abided at this sanctuary amid their stay in the woods. The statue of Lord Shiva Lingam is of white stone found in the quarries of Madhya Pradesh. There is a Saint Kabir Ashram inverse to this Shiva sanctuary. Every one of the dividers of this Ashram are engraved with the Dohas of Saint Kabir. Another old sanctuary of Bhairavnath Mahadev is arranged close to the Luneshwar Mahadev sanctuary.

This sanctuary has a statue of Bhairav and one of Lord Shiva. The following fascination is the sanctuary of Melia Mahadev, which is 2 miles from Lunawada. The neighborhood individuals come here to implore satisfy their desires and wants. A sanctuary named Mitha Ganesh ni deri arranged in mandvi bazar close to pipli fali is held here.
