Saint Cyr l Ecole

Saint Cyr l Ecole is a commune inside the western suburbs of Paris, France. It is positioned 21.4 km from the center of Paris. It used to host the education college for officials of the French army, the Ecole Speciale Militaire de Saint Cyr, which became relocated to Coetquidan in 1945. The vintage homes of the ESM are now used by the military excessive faculty of Saint Cyr. King Louis XIV of France on the request of Madame de Maintenon based Maison royal de Saint Louis, an institute for negative young ladies.

It later became an army sanatorium. Napoleon I founded the military academy for infantry and cavalry officials in 1808. The tomb of Madame de Maintenon lies in the Chapel. Saint Cyr l Ecole is served by using Saint Cyr station that is an interchange station on Paris RER line C, at the Transilien La Defense suburban rail line, and on the Transition Paris Montparnasse suburban rail line. Saint Cyr l Ecole airfield is lengthy mounted and lies on the edge of the commune.
