About Splashy Fen

Splashy Fen is South Africa's longest-running annual music festival which is a sort of a reply to Woodstock and Glastonbury of New York and United Kingdom respectively. This festival was founded in the year 1990.

The festival offers a four-day line-up of some of the country's hottest acts, top-class sound and lighting, plus a wide choice of outdoor leisure activities for the whole family. It is a real treat to be in this festival that is held in a farm near Underberg in KwaZulu-Natal for a totally unique outdoor music experience.

Over ten thousand people turn up to the Easter weekend camp-out at the Fen. Be here to to catch sessions ranging from township musicians pounding out the bqanga beat to the latest big names in South African pop, along with a handful of international acts. Apart from the beautiful scenery of the southern Drakensberg, an abundance of different food and drink outlets, colourful arts and crafts, as well as a creche and children's entertainment programme.
