This day celebrates the sixth incarnation of Hindu God lord Vishnu who was Parshuram. Lord Parashurama was born as the son of Sage Jamadagni and Renukaon the third day during the waxing phase of moon in the month of Vaisakha. The ious works of Lord Parashurama are present in Mahabharat, Ramayana and the Puranas. It is said that Lord Parashurama killed 21 generations of Kshattriyas who were the ruling class. This Day is celebrated in honour of Lord Parshuram the sixth incarnation of lord Vishnu.
