Transfer to airport and leave by air for Bagdogra and drive to Darjeeling. Remainder of the day at rest and acclimatise to the change in altitude. Darjeeling is dramatic with it's dark hillsides and abundance of flowers. It has a stunning view of the Kanchanjungha, the third highest peak in the world.
Before sunrise drive to Tiger Hill to view the memorable sunrise over Kanchanjungha and catch a glimpse of Mount Everest. Return to Darjeeling via the Ghoom Buddhist Monastery. Established in 1850, this is the oldest monastery in Darjeeling. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Full day city tour of Calcutta visiting the Victoria Memorial, Indian Museum, Kain Temple (Mirror and Coloured glass encrusted and with multicoloured chandeliers, this temple built in 1867, sparkles in the sun) Rabindra Sarobar, Ramakrishna Mission Institute and Marble Palace.
Early morning proceed by air for Bhubaneshwar and transfer to hotel. Bhubaneshwar is a city of temples. There were once over 7000 temples of which only 500 remain today. It is here that in 261 BC, Emperor Ashoka after waging the bloodiest of wars, converted to Buddhism.
After breakfast, leave by surface for Puri. On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Jagannath Temple (standing 65 meters high, built in the 12th century), the adjoining Ananda Bazaar or food market and the Puri Beach in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
After an early breakfast, drive to Bhubaneshwar. On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit the Chillika Lake - the biggest inland lake in the country ideal for birdwatching. Overnight at hotel.
