Day 2 : singapore city tour
After a scrumptious breakfast, get ready for an exciting half-day city sightseeing of Singapore. In this tour drive past the Singapore Arts Museum , Central Business District which is located between the Singapore River, Marina Bay and Chinatown, commonly referred to as “the city” or CBD, and is the centre of all commercial and financial activities. Some of the most prestigious companies, both local and international, have their offices in this densely built area. Then drive past The Civic District consisting of buildings, memorials and parks of historical interest, Civilian War memorial, Dhoby Ghaut, Esplanade Theatre By the Bay, Helix Bridge, The Istana- the official residence and office of the President of Singapore, Marina Floating Bay. Take a photo stop at The Merlion- The official mascot of Singapore, depicted as a mythical creature with a lion’s head and the body of a fish. Later drive past Plaza Singapura, Raffles Hotel and take a photo stop at The Singapore Flyer- a giant observation wheel at Downtown Core, Singapore. Later drive past Suntec City, Swiss Hotel Stamford and take a photo stop at The Thian Hock Keng Temple- a temple built for the worship of Mazu, a Chinese sea goddess, located in Singapore. It is the oldest and most important temple of the Hokkien people in the country.
After the city sightseeing, you would have the rest of the day at leisure for exploration of this vibrant city. You could opt for a River Safari, Asia’s only river-themed wildlife park (own expense) where you would get an opportunity to stroll through freshwater galleries and exhibits as you learn more about the ecosystems of world’s various rivers. Overnight stay at the hotel.
