After receiving you from the nearest airport or the railway station, we would spend time knowing the team and after a heavy breakfast at one of the local Rajasthani restaurants, we would take you around two important places. Day- 1 can be a little tiring because of the travel thus, there would only be a couple of places that you would be taken around. Gadisar Lake This artificially built lake is one of the major landmarks of Jaisalmer. The lake has great roots with respect to history, culture and heritage. Gadisar Lake is one of the must-visit attractions when you are in Jaisalmer. The Lake was built in order to combat the water problems in Jaisalmer by the then king, Raja Rawal Jaiswal. The serene ambiance and the sweeping view of the majestic Jaisalmer fort from this lake are going to blow your minds off. Once you are done taking a stroll at the lovely lake, we would catch up in a nearby restaurant for a quick lunch and then let you free. You can be on your own exploring the local markets. The local markets in Jaisalmer can make you go gaga with the kinds of artifacts, collections and trinkets they have. Hence, you can roam around and spend some amazing time shopping for your loved ones. You might as well visit some of the famous restaurants like the ChaiSalmer, The Jaisal Treat, The Lal Garh and Jaisalmer Kitchen to try some authentic Rajasthani cuisines. Wake up to the complimentary breakfast served at the restaurant and fill your tummy to the fullest because today would be a little run-around day. We would be taking you to some of the most iconic spots of Jaisalmer. Make sure to keep your cameras handy today. This is one of the most beautiful parts of the Jaisalmer trip. This is one of the massive forts that you would come across and also there are a lot of residents even to this day the fort houses. Hence, it is also called as the ‘Living Fort’. With the rich history of 800 odd years, the fort stands in pride narrating the tales of the glorious past. The brilliant architecture and the panoramic view of the Jaisalmer city can exhilarate you. Haveli There are a lot of spectacular Havelis in Jaisalmer and each has a lovely story to narrate. Some of the major Havelis that you would be visiting during this trip are Patwon ki Haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli, and Nathmalji ki Haveli. These are all architectural marvels and you can enjoy clicking photographs. After a sumptuous lunch, we would start off to the Desert where you would be spending a night. This is the best moment of the trip. Watching the ‘King of desert’ walking majestically with the travelers and tourists on their back can be one of the best sights to behold. You can take part in the cultural activities like dance, music and enjoy the dinner under the starlit sky with the camels sitting right next to you and enjoying their meal. You would be staying in the tent in the desert watching the night sky filled with millions of stars. With the background music fading away you can slide into your sleeping bags.
The final leg of anything would be pretty interesting. The best is always saved for the last and today, you would be exploring the wildest parts of Rajasthan after yummy breakfast.
