Nankai

Nankai District is a district of Tianjin, People's Republic of China. Nankai District borders the Hai River inside the east and Chentangzhuang Railway inside the west and south. A quantity of critical Tianjin landmarks lie within the district which includes the Tianjin Museum, Tianjin Radio and Television Tower, Tianjin Water Park, Tianjin Zoo and Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium. Nankai is also home to the city's most prestigious instructional institutions along with Tianjin University and Nankai University.

The Tianjin New Technology Industrial Area, a 12 rectangular km precinct, is also located in Nankai. Historically, northern parts of Nankai District have been placed inside historic Tianjin. The Tianfei Palace or Palace of the Queen of Heaven of the Yuan Dynasty was built in north-japanese Nankai in the year 1326. In the Ming Dynasty, the coronary heart of the metropolis of Tianjin became set up in Nankai. Nankai became a part of the navy garrisons at some stage in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the city wall served as a major defense system towards foreign invasion inside the past due 19th century.
