Visit Hong Kong for its unmatched lifestyle, glitz and glamour. One of the most happening commercial centers of the world, Hong Kong is a part of Peoples Republic of China, but functions more or less as an independent entity; except in the areas of defence and foreign affairs. So much so that Hong Kong has its own currency, Hong Kong Dollar HKD. Hong Kong was under the rule of United Kingdom until 1997 when it was transferred to China. It is hard to find commonness between Hong Kong and other cities of China. Though the population is mostly Chinese, the culture, and the pace is more western. Nightlife in Hong Kong is what attracts most tourists to Hong Kong but there is a lot to see and do during the daytime as well. Do not miss out visiting Ocean Park, Victoria Peak and Repulse Bay.
Travelling in Hong Kong is really fun. We've been to Victoria Peak. We were able to ride at Peak Tram. We ate a lot of Hong Kong delicacies and street foods. We also tried the harbour cruise. However due to tropical cyclone, we weren't able to go to Disney land and Ngong Pin Village. DL and NP were closed during those time. We booked at airbnb and it was cheap yet the room was clean. We were able to cooked inside the room. We cannot do this if we booked at a hotel.
