Hami

Hami is a prefecture-degree town in eastern Xinjiang, China. It is well known as the house of sweet Hami melons. In early 2016, the former Hami county-degree city become merged with Hami Prefecture to shape Hami prefecture-degree city now called Yizhou District. During the Later Han dynasty Hami time and again changed arms between the Chinese and Xiongnu who each desired to manipulate this fertile and strategic oasis.
