Eirunepe

Eirunepe is a Brazilian municipality in the southwestern part of the state of Amazonas, which is a straight line from Manaus and 2,417 kilometers away by the river, which is far from its state capital. It is believed that there is ecturism potential. This is the fourth largest city in the southwest region. 427,004 hectares 1,055,150 acres in the municipality is 41.22% of Rio Gregorio Extracts. In the first decades of the nineteenth century, attracted by the LaTeX extraction, the peak of Amazon's economy at that time, and the North-east, Serra, Rio Grande and Paraiba came running from drought in the northern region of Jura. Residency in rubber gives birth to first villages.

It was in this historic context that in the city today a colony named Eirunepe began. Earlier residents were brought by men to Northeastern Felipe Mannell da Cunha. As there was a major lack of white women, these men got married to the indigenous women of the tribes of Tribal Kulina. Due to this fact there were many struggles with the white man who shared the opinion of the tribe. Therefore, the people who accepted the white person were named Kalinas, while those who did not accept their name were Kanamari. During the first decades of the twentieth century, during World War I 1914-1918, many people from different countries fled to war to find other places to start a new life.
