Canutama

Canutama is a municipality positioned in the Brazilian nation of Amazonas, considered 1/3 largest town of the Purus Medium after Labrea and Tapaua. Its population was 9,880 and its location is 29,820 km². The municipality consists of a part of the strictly-covered Cunia Ecological Station, an area of savannah parkland. The municipality consists of most of the Balata-Tufari National Forest, a 1,079,670 hectares sustainable use conservation unit created in 2005. It consists of part of the Mapinguari National Park, a 1,776,914 hectares conservation unit created in 2008.

It also includes the 197,986 hectares Canutama Extractive Reserve, created in 2009. It contains 2 in line with cent of the 881,704 hectares Tapaua State Forest, additionally created in 2009. During its starting, it obtained some denominations: in 1874, it became installed with the call of New Colony of Beautiful Sight, and in 1891, Ville of Our Lady of Nazare. From 1895 it handiest obtained the name for which these days we realize it: Canutama. This city is the pleasant city to visit.
