Blackburn

Blackburn is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 17 kilometers east of Melbourne's Central Business District. Its neighborhood government territory is the City of Whitehorse. At the 2011 Census, Blackburn had a populace of 12,796. The source of the name Blackburn isn't sure, however may have been after an early pilgrim or James Blackburn, who planned Yan Yean Reservoir. It exists in the City of Whitehorse, in Melbourne's eastern rural areas.
